Linaro has been actively engaged in bootstrapping the ARMv8 architecture in the Linux ecosystem from day 1. This session will present "what was achieved" and also give an overview about what needs to be done to complete the task of making modern Linux based OS ubiquitously available on ARMv8 architecture.
Goal of the session is to establish an understanding of who is doing what parts of the porting effort in the Linux ecosystem and what part of the porting efforts Linaro plans to do. Here, Linaro will propose the offering to host and support a community porting effort that will allow the Linux porter community to come together in a single place sharing the tools and processes and know how that Linaro has built up in this area.
