Common Display Framework (CDF)

12:00 PM–1:00 PM on Tuesday, Mar 5, 2013

  • - Overview and review proposed v3 CDF
  • - Review output from BoFs held at FOSDEM and ELC on the common display framework
  • - Considerations for Android
  • - Cover member panel / board status and Linaro plans forward
  • - Gather Kernel team input

When you think about current display technology, you might be thinking in terms of HDMI or DVI. However on embedded boards there are other mechanisms to connect to a panel besides those standards. The overall CDF project goal is to develop a common framework to allow the display subsystem to interact with the variety of buses, control protocols, etc. through a common API.
